Maggie & Ethan Lightner museum 4.13.2024
For this Lightner Museum wedding, Maggie wanted to take inspiration from the reception venue itself and have an elevated, gallery feel to her table designs. She knew she found inspiration in ikebana flower arrangements, but when looking for reference photos we couldn’t find any that combined tropicals and ikebana design in such an elevated, elegant manner. So, I came up with inspiration that was truly unique to the couple using minimal ingredients that were structural, yet delicate. We put great intention into picking everything that went onto the tables and chose all clear glass vases and candle holders. These clients involved me in every decision, from chargers to table numbers, which allowed us to create a cohesive design. I always tell clients that if we can’t find their exact inspiration on Pinterest, it’s a good thing because that means it hasn't been overdone yet, and this aesthetic is a prime example of that.
